Cloze Text Competition

*Movember is a moustache growing event held during each November that raises funds and awareness for men's _1_, you'll probably start to notice more and more men sporting moustaches as the month goes on.
Movember began 10 years ago in Melbourne and in its first year didn't raise anything, but undeterred they did it again the next year and managed to raise £32,000 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. Since then the Movember Foundation charity has run Movember events to raise _2_ and funds for men's health issues, such as prostate cancer and depression, in Australia and New Zealand.
By 2007 the Movember message had _3_ to the UK, America and beyond, and the campaign is now one of the most _4_ and high-profile events in the fundraising calendar.
Last year, 1.1 million people took _5_ in Movember around the world, raising more than $148 million. EC schools around the world will be participating in Movember to raise money and awareness.
Many people post Movember pictures on their Facebook page as they and friends get  _6_  and _6_! Make sure you keep an eye out for fun pics this month and remember:
The goal of Movember is to "change the face of men's health."

·         A portmanteau word that combines “Mo”, short for moustache in Australia, and “November”.

Oral exam: talking

  •  Read the instructions carefully so that you are clear about the aim of your discussion.
  • Remember that you must listen to what your partner says so that you can respond appropriately. Don’t concentrate only on what you want to say.
  • Make sure that you and your partner discuss everything in the list, even if you only discuss some things briefly.
  • Remember that you are trying to persuade your partner to agree with you. This means that you must support your opinions with reasons.
  • Remember that you can ask your partner questions as well as making statements yourself.
  • Talk to your partner, not to the examiner.
